The bikes mount and unmount very quickly. The bikes can also ride singletrack. We didn't want to rely on rails only for travel, so these were made to be convertible. Conversion took about 5 minutes. It goes without saying that this is not for everyone and that safety is a major concern. There's a lot of arguing to be made about NOT doing this kind of thing. I generally agree so save your breath. Don't do this. Except, you know, if you're compelled enough to figure out how to make this bike, have the means to do it yourself, and spend a lot of time researching your route and how to stay clear of all other rail traffic. But even then...
Is that a working railroad with trains regularly using it?
ReplyDeleteI have the same question? And if it is a working rail line, can you easily take the bikes on and off the track, so you don't get killed by a train?
ReplyDeletewicked.
ReplyDeleteWho knew railroad tramps could be so handsome?
